  • Conducted in-depth user interviews and usability testing to understand the frustrations and needs of users across different stages of their journey.

  • Analyzed existing app metrics to identify high-friction areas, such as drop-off points during the booking process.

  • Designed low-fidelity wireframes to ideate solutions for streamlining navigation and processes, such as advanced search filters and transparent pricing displays.

  • Analyzed and synthesized user data to derive actionable insights for app enhancement.

  • Designed a modern, cohesive UI system with accessible components, such as larger touch targets, high-contrast options, and simplified forms.

To ensure precision and relevance in our data collection, a meticulous screening process via email was employed among eligible individuals.

Moderate User Testing

To comprehend the pain points, motivations, and needs of our audience, we connected with 10 professionals, to get qualitative data on their user experiences of navigating the app with 4 tasks.

  • Pre-Test Questionnaire: Prior to testing, participants completed an expanded questionnaire, going beyond initial screening queries, diving deeper into individual interests and preferences.

  • Task-Oriented Challenges: Each participant engaged in 4 tasks curated to address client needs and user interests, offering a bespoke testing experience aligned with Flux Factory's objectives.

  • Post-Task Evaluation: Following task completion, moderators queried participants about task difficulty and completion, providing nuanced insights into how information architecture influenced the overall user experience.

Key Findings

Confusing Navigation: Users were often left confused about the next steps after booking, such as where and how to pick up their rental car. Users found it difficult to locate cars that matched their preferences due to limited filtering options and lack of personalized recommendations.

Complicated Booking Flow: The booking process was perceived as complex and time-consuming, with many users abandoning the process midway due to unclear instructions or unexpected costs.

Overall Usability & Design: The app’s interface was described as cluttered, with users finding it hard to navigate and locate essential features.

Optimizing Account & Profile Management for Enhanced User Experience

Effective account and profile management is a cornerstone of a seamless user experience for any application, including the Enterprise Rent-A-Car app. Through a user-centered approach, we focused on enhancing the functionality, intuitiveness, and accessibility of these features to address key user pain points and improve overall satisfaction.

Redesigned Search Interface &Enhanced Filtering System

The search flow is a critical part of the user journey in the Enterprise Rent-A-Car app, where users find and book vehicles that fit their specific needs.A prominent, sticky search bar that allows users to modify inputs without returning to the home screen. Displayed search results in visually appealing cards with essential details like price, availability, and car type upfront.

Integrated the Enterprise Plus Rewards program & Express Checkout

Integrated the Enterprise Plus Rewards program into the app, allowing users to track points, redeem rewards, and receive personalized discounts during the booking flow. Our goal was to make purchasing a seamless experience while emphasizing convenience, personalization, and trust—elements that turn first-time users into lifelong customers.

Interactive Calendar Integration & Confirmation Screen with Essential Details

To enhance user engagement and meet evolving customer needs, we introduced the “Book Your Test Drive” feature in the Enterprise app. Displayed key information prominently, such as the test drive date, time, location, and selected vehicle details (make, model, and image).

Enhanced Instant Video Connection & Real-Time Interaction Tools

Users can explore vehicles in-depth without visiting a physical location, saving time and effort. Included a chat window alongside the video for users to send quick questions or receive links (e.g., detailed specs or pricing).
